Dan Pogue works in bronze, stone, concrete, plaster and clay. He has expert knowledge in all aspects of designing, molding, and casting as well as creating just the right finish for each bronze. He specializes in exotic patinas, and is constantly working on different colors to get the right effect for each sculpture.
Artists Statement:
I feel a deep need for release of creativity. I have been blessed with a God given talent that needs to be used to it's fullest extent and not wasted. I do not use my art to speak to the public. My approach is not to tell a story or make a statement; rather to use my art as a spontaneous outlet. I like to let it flow from the subconscious and let the viewer decide what it means personally. It is intriguing to me to see what impact my sculpture has on others. My art fills a need to provide a sense of order in my own chaotic life, as the universe creates order out of chaos.
